Downgrade or reinstall Wordfast Pro

In rare cases, you might need to reinstall Wordfast Pro or downgrade it to an earlier version. Here is how to do it.

Reinstall the same version

  1. Download Wordfast Pro from our website: https://www.wordfast.com/downloadpage
  2. Run the installer you have downloaded, following the steps in the installation wizard.
  3. When finished, start Wordfast Pro. Please note that you do not need a new activation key when you reinstall Wordfast Pro – the activation information is remembered on the same computer.

Downgrade to an earlier version

  1. Download the earlier version you need from the Legacy Downloads page on our website: https://www.wordfast.com/legacydownload. You can also get there by opening the Home page > Downloads > look for the text that says "** Please click here for previous versions of Wordfast Pro."
  2. Uninstall the currently installed version of Wordfast Pro. Your settings, projects, TMs, glossaries will be preserved.
  3. Run the installer for the earlier version you've downloaded.
  4. When finished, start Wordfast Pro. Please note that you do not need a new activation key when you downgrade Wordfast Pro – the activation information is remembered on the same computer.
